Services Provided

As of May 2010, Dr. Shapiro is currently participating as an IN-NETWORK provider for the following insurance companies:
1. Aetna
2. Anthem Blue Cross
3. Blue Shield
4. Cigna
5. Tri-Care (out of network, contracted provider)

* Initial Phone Consultation: Free

* Assessments and Evaluations
     -Initial Therapy Assessments are typically 60 minutes in length. Interview and paper assessments are generally used.
     -A one time only evaluation (e.g., Psychiatric Evaluation for Weight Loss Surgery) is 60-75 minutes.

* Individual Therapy
     -Sessions are typically weekly for 50 minutes. This is flexible depending on need and schedule.

* Group Therapy
     -Contact Dr. Shapiro to inquire about current group offerings and space availability.

* Media Consulting
     -Dr. Shapiro has appeared in several news and radio programs. She presents at international conferences annually, has been invited as a grand rounds and keynote speaker at various institutions, and has given several lectures and workshops related to disordered eating in children and adults.
